Connecting the Digital World Tree - Est. 2018
Yggdrasil is an early-stage implementation of a fully end-to-end encrypted IPv6 network. It is lightweight, self-arranging, supported on multiple platforms and allows pretty much any IPv6-capable application to communicate securely with other Yggdrasil nodes.
Named after the World Tree from Norse mythology, Yggdrasil creates a global mesh network where each node automatically discovers and connects to other nodes, forming a self-healing network topology that routes around damage and censorship.
All traffic is encrypted by default using strong cryptography
Automatic peer discovery and routing without central servers
Each node gets a unique IPv6 address derived from its public key
Minimal resource usage, runs on everything from Pi to servers
Step 1: Download Yggdrasil for your operating system (Windows, Mac, Linux, mobile)
Step 2: Configure your node and connect to public peers
Step 3: Start exploring the mesh network using your new IPv6 address!
Remember: This is experimental software - use at your own risk and always respect others on the network.
